A Chip Off the Old Block is a 2009 TVB television drama from Hong Kong produced and created by Poon Ka Tak. The original broadcast was on the TVB Jade with approximately 45-minute long episodes airing five days a week. The final two episodes were an hour and a half long each, which aired during the weekends. A Chip Off the Old Block tells the story of the articulate businessman Chor Chi, who accidentally travels back in time to the 1960s and meets his younger father, Chor Fan.

Beyond the Realm of Conscience

Beyond the Realm of Conscience is a 2009 Hong Kong television series. Produced by Mui Siu-ching, the serial is one of the two grand TVB productions to celebrate along with the channel's 42nd anniversary, the other being Born Rich. The drama aired five days a week on the TVB network with 45-minute episodes starting October 19, 2009. Set in the latter years of the Tang Dynasty, Beyond the Realm of Conscience tells the story of palace maid Lau Sam-ho and her relations in the Imperial Palace, beginning with her experiences in the Imperial Household Bureau. The series title roughly means "Plots in the Palace" and is a play on the phrase, a homonym which roughly means "Plots that target and attack the heart".

In the Chamber of Bliss

Military Governor Choi Ngok (Damian Lau) has been attempting to overthrow the Yuen Sai Hoi government. To facilitate his plan to stage an uprising in Yunnan, he pretends to be fooling around with the highly sought-after courtesan Cheung Feng Wan (Chow Hoi Mei), nicknamed Siu Fung Sin, to avoid detection. Yuen Sai Hoi (Law Lok Lam), who is suspicious of Ngok, sends the Chief of Staff Mok Yik Tin (Lam Ka Wah) to spy on him. Later he even lures Ngok's wife Pak Sz Ting (Tin Yui Nei) to Beijing, hoping that this will force Ngok to pledge his loyalty to the government. To ensure the success of the revolutionary movement, Ngok carries on with his affair with Wan as a camouflage, without realizing that she has seriously fallen in love with him. Wan is ready to give up everything just to be with Ngok while he remains cold and distant towards her.

Life In Sanyuan County

This is a melodrama about three families living in Sanyuan County in the Republic of China. Not satisfied with ruling their won roost, three housewives in the three respective families keep contending for the power to rule a bigger roost - the Sanyuan County! Through the hilarious dramas that happened to them, sycophants are criticized in a humorous and ironic way. To represent the real scene of traditional Cantonese living condition in the period of the Republic of China, the three main stage settings: "Erudition School", "Profound Martial Clud" and "Daintiness Restaurant" are strictly decorated according to historical study.

The Winter Melon Tale

Fan Tung (Liu Kai Chi) is one of the four deities under the Stove God. He has offended the Queen Mother of the West of being ravenous and gets imprisoned for 500 years in the winter melon. By chance Tin Dai Kwai (Sunny Chan) and his wife Chung Bik Yuk (Louisa So) free him from constraint. Tung gets flattened by Kwai's older brother Tin Tai Fu (also played by Liu Kai Chi) accidentally and his spirit enters Fu's body inexplicably while losing all his instincts. Tung starts living in Kwai's house and getting closer to the family. Yuk finds Tung suspicious and she tries to unmask him by all means. Having failed in his attempt to return to Heaven, Tung becomes reliant on the help of six little deities who assimilated his instincts released from the melon, and since then Tung is aware of the fickleness of human nature.

A Bride for a Ride

A Bride for a Ride is a 2009 Hong Kong television series based on the traditional Pingtan story of the same name. Set during the prosperous Ming Dynasty of China, the drama revolves around the rich and influential Wong family and their comedic ties with Chow Man-bun, a young and handsome scholar who has a specialty in cross-dressing. To prove his worth to Wong Sau-ying, his ideal lover, he cross dresses as a beauty in a lantern festival so he can get closer to her. Sau-ying's older brother, Tiger Wong, sees Man-bun's beauty and kidnaps him home. A Bride for a Ride consists of elements of Cantonese opera. Chin Kar-lok, who stars as Tiger Wong, is also the drama's action choreographer.

The Stew of Life

Upon returning from a trip with her husband NG MAN TAK (Chung King Fai), cookery teacher LO SIU LAI (Lee Sze Kei, Louise) is shocked to find that her little daughter NG CHOI NI (Chen Fala) has started cohabiting with a homosexually inclined colleague LAU TAT YAN (Hung Tin Ming) while her divorced sister LO SIU MEI (Ng Wing Mei) is seemingly caught up in a love triangle between tenant YAU KAI (Mak Cheung Ching) and her ex-husband. By and by TAK is forced to retire early and stays at home all day with nothing to do. LAI, on the other hand, is lucky enough to have the opportunity to host a culinary show on TV. Everything seems to have happened too fast but this does not leave LAI frustrated and accursed. Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK. The bickering continues until LAI eventually thinks of a good way to tackle TAK…

D.I.E. Again

Although D.I.E had been dissolved and the officers returned to their previous departments, their odd habits continue to follow them, resulting in many troubles for the police force. The senior staff decide to bring the D.I.E back, this time headed by Lo Sir, Yue Sir's former supervisor. Yue Sir and Jing Jing have a baby boy and Jing jing returns to work after trying to be a housewife to no avail. Initially working with the homicide unit again, she is still always chasing Dai-Hau-Ying, and after several incidents is sent back to D.I.E. Ying seems to have become less evil than before, but Jing jing continues to attempt arrest, much to the chagrin of her supervisors.

You're Hired

A previously successful entrepreneur, Mak Tai Song searches for his mentor's wife, Sheh Mo Lin and helps pay off her debt because he feels guilty for his mentor's death. Meanwhile, Tong Kat pleads Mak Tai Song to mentor him, hoping to accomplish something for his father's billionaire company. Song ends up mentoring Tong Kat on a part-time basis and take shelves of good wine as payments. Song then gets chased down on making payments for She Mo Lin's debt by Lam Miu Miu, the debt collection agent. The conflicting personalities of Lam Miu Miu, a wild spender and Mak Tai Song, a free-loader, causes many laughing moments, and finally both fall in love with each other. When Lam Miu Miu thinks things are finally turning out the way she wants, she gets confused by Song's sudden changes and evil-tactics against Ngon Jo Lin, Song's half-brother. Perhaps Song's long-lost childhood will change him entirely and make him more distant to Lam Miu Miu.

Love Kickoff

Love Kickoff is a 2-hour long Hong Kong television movie created by TVB in 2009. The movie revolves around several teenagers playing soccer, hoping for a chance to compete with the South China Athletic Association team. Love Kickoff is part of the Heart of Fencing TVB series and guest stars many TVB actors and singers throughout the show.

The Voice

The Voice 超級巨聲 is a Hong Kong reality show style singing competition broadcast by TVB, and also selects Hong Kong's representative to the New Talent Singing Awards International Finals. It is unrelated to the international singing competition franchise The Voice, but it will follow that show's format starting no earlier than 2013. The first season was presented by cantopop singer Prudence Liew and aired from July 19, 2009 to February 7, 2010. Wen Wang was the winner. Sammy Leung and Kristal Tin were the main presenters starting season two, which aired May 9, 2010 to September 12, 2010. Mag Lam was the winner. Season 3 premiered on August 14th, 2011 following the conclusion of the talk show, Say What.

Burning Flame III

Encouraged by the fireman leader Chung Yau-sing, young and playful Fong Lei-on joins the team and gets to know Cheuk Pak-yu. Unfortunately, the two of them are having lots of misunderstanding at work. Lei-on believes that Pak-yu has stolen Yau-sing's lover, fire department clerk Ko Wai-ying, and causes the serious injury of Yau-sing. Meanwhile, a gruesome fire accident has drawn everyone into a twist of fate that has led them to find a deeper sense of awareness.

Sweetness in the Salt

NIP CHI YUEN (Ma Steven), who works in the anti-smuggling camp, is determined to wipe out the Tau’s Fort, which is the stronghold for salt smugglers. He pretends to be a down-and-out scholar. TAU SING SUET (Yeung Yi), daughter of the chief smuggler, sympathizes with YUEN and puts him up in the village. Later, they even become fond of each other. One day, SUET is horrified to see the dead bodies of her parent being hung on the wall of the city tower, and that the official standing on the top of the tower telling the public not to sell smuggled salt is none other than the man she misses day and night. She is heartbroken, and her love for YUEN turns into hatred that moment on...

The Threshold of a Persona is a 2009 TVB television drama from Hong Kong produced by Marco Law. It was broadcast between June and July of 2009. The drama features the work of the Immigration Department of Hong Kong.

A Watchdog‘s Tale

The detective Li Junsheng (played by Zheng Zeshi) who has repeatedly solved strange cases was rescued by a police kennel during the investigation and joined the police dog team. He loves dogs and knows the habits of dogs. After retiring, Junsheng used his pension to open a dog farm in Changsheng Village to fulfill his lifelong wish. Junsheng and his daughter Li Xianru (played by Zhong Jiaxin) depend on each other for fate, and their father and daughter love each other. As a veterinarian, Xianru often treats stray dogs for injuries and opens a pet clinic next to the dog farm.

Just Love II

Career-minded magistrate KO HEI MAN (Hsuan Jessica Hester) gains full support from her loyal husband KOT KWOK KWONG (Chan Kam Hung, Sunny) so that she is able to concentrate fully on her works. At court, MAN strongly believes that everyone is equal before the law and she tackles every challenge confidently. At home, she never bothers about the household duties which are all taken by husband and any complaints filed by mother-in-law. Set in Eastern China in the mid-19th century Qing Dynasty, the mercantile Chiang family and the ambition and jealousy surrounding the issue of who will inherit the family business when Chiang Kiu dies. Hong Po-kei marries into the Chiang family as Chiang Kiu's fourth wife. She gains ownership of Hing Fung Nin, the family rice shop, and guides the ambitious coolie Chai Kau to rise in the social status ladder.
