Design on a Dime is a decorating television series on HGTV. It features people who want their living space redesigned. The Design on a Dime team uses a $1,000 budget to remake a room. There have been a few variations, with episodes for weddings and more.

Designers' Challenge

Designers' Challenge is a show on HGTV in the United States. In each episode, three interior designers make presentations to a homeowner, who chooses one design to use in the house. It is hosted by Chris Harrison. Landscapers' Challenge is a spin-off that deals with outdoor landscaping instead.

House Hunters

Hosted by Suzanne Whang, the show takes viewers behind the scenes as individuals, couples and families learn what to look for and decide whether or not a home is meant for them. Focusing on the emotional experience of finding and purchasing a new home, each episode follows a prospective buyer and real estate agent through the home-buying process, from start to finish.

Every year, hundreds of volunteers from across the nation decorate the White House for Christmas in just 72 hours. HGTV documents the process in the annual White House Christmas special — which is hosted by one or two hand-picked HGTV hosts who ensure the First Lady's chosen theme comes to life.

Designing for the Sexes

Designing for the Sexes is a television show on HGTV. In each episode, a married couple with distinct tastes about decorating consult with an interior designer to create a room that meets both their needs. The show was originally hosted by Michael Payne. The second Designing for the Sexes was hosted by Susan Hunt. The New Designing for the Sexes is hosted by Rick Rifle.

Decorating Cents

From HGTV Website: Decorating Cents is for homeowners who care about and want variety in home decor, but are trying to stay within an affordable budget. In each episode, host Joan Steffend and guest designers provide room makeovers costing less than $500, ways to turn trash into treasures and tips on making a room feel and look fresh just by rearranging furniture and adding a few inexpensive accessories. Decorating Cents is intended to inspire viewers to use inexpensive objects and their own ingenuity to decorate. The program is not designed to give specific step-by-step instructions or resources. My House, Your Money

My House, Your Money is a Cineflix produced realty reality programme that airs on W Network and HGTV US. My House, Your Money follows young individuals who are the hunt for their first home. However, they turn to family members for financial assistance, in which case, all family members weigh in on what home is best for the young individual.

Urban Suburban is a Canadian reality television series, which debuted in 2011 on HGTV.

The Unsellables

The Unsellables is a Canadian reality show that debuted on January 1, 2009. The show airs on HGTV. The Unsellables focuses on helping people who have trouble selling their home. There was also a British remake of the series.

Broken House Chronicles

Broken House Chronicles is a Canadian television series which premiered in 2001 on HGTV and is produced by Mountain Road Productions. Re-runs are currently airing on DIY Network Sundays at 6:00 & 6:30PM as well as weekdays at 3:00PM.

Design U

Design U is a Canadian television series which premiered on April 4, 2005 on HGTV. Produced by Mountain Road Productions the series takes the design-clueless back to school for a crash course in interior design. After one intense day with a professional designer—learning the ins and outs of design theory—the design student gets to test their newly acquired design savvy during a two-day makeover. With $3000 and a team of renovators at their disposal, the student has to transform one room in their house. At the end, the design professor returns to review the results to see if the student makes the grade.

Selling New York

Selling New York is an American television series airing on HGTV. It features real estate brokers from three Manhattan real estate companies selling real estate to New York's elite. Season I was filmed between September 2009 and February 2010. It premiered in March 2010 and concluded in June of the same year. The series was renewed for a second season for 39 new episodes. It premiered on January 6, 2011. The show is now in its fourth season. It is produced by Canadian production company, JV Productions Inc. The series has inspired Los Angeles and European spin-offs titled Selling LA which premiered October 13, 2011 on HGTV and Selling London.

Curb Appeal

Curb Appeal is a half-hour TV series that has aired on HGTV in the United States from 2002 to the present, exploring how a house's outside "curb appeal" will be updated. Various hosts over the years, talk the viewer through the planned improvements. Originally the new look was imagined by drawing the proposed changes over a still picture of the exterior but now computer-generated visualizations are created. Changes include painting, landscaping, and fences, as well as pruning or removing overgrown shrubs, and sometimes cutting down good trees. John Gidding is now the only host and more recent episodes involve multiple homes in an San Francisco Bay Area block, and are titled Curb Appeal. There has also been at least one hour-long Christmas special titled A Very Merry Curb Appeal, with two homes adorned with Christmas decorations.

The Fix

The Fix is a Canadian reality television series based around a home renovation prank. The series premiered on July 3, 2008, on HGTV. The program is produced by General Purpose Pictures and is hosted by contractors Neil Davies and Jay Purvis. The series also airs on the Fine Living network in the United States.

World's Greenest Homes

WORLD'S GREENEST HOMES takes viewers on tours of houses that have been designed to be both stylish and environmentally friendly. From Indiana to Australia, host Emmanuel Belliveau travels the world to get a close-up look at some of today's most spectacular "green" houses, whose owners have committed themselves to invest in dwellings that conserve energy and make the most of local resources. Homeowners offer explanations about their choice of materials and other structural details, pointing out how these choices were made to make the home as green as possible. Belliveau, who's also a designer, occasionally discusses other eco-friendly alternatives, and the show also deals with the specific architectural designs of each residence, demonstrating how these works of art function as environmentally sustainable living spaces.

Gardening by the Yard

Gardening by the Yard is an American gardening show that airs weekly on HGTV and is hosted by master-gardener Paul James. It premiered in 1996. HGTV states that Gardening by the Yard is for people who want their yards to look great but don't have time to spend on them. James focuses on the lighter side of gardening and practices organic gardening. Topics include composting, correct watering, plant zones, vegetable gardens, planting plants that are natural to your area, and many other gardening basics. Most of the show is taped in James' Tulsa, OK backyard. James is not afraid to show flaws in his yard as he claims this makes the show a real gardening program. James will also have occasional guest gardeners give their own tips for specific fruit and vegetable crops such as growing fruit trees in containers or designs for the garden. James often takes the show to locales across the country to visit other gardens or locally owned nurseries. The show has featured many guest stars over the years including James Gonzalez and Alexis Stewart. 2009 was expected to be the last year for the show as it has not been renewed. However, as of mid-2010, reruns are shown early weekday mornings. As of January 2012, the show no longer appears on HGTV's schedule, but visitors to HGTV.com can find short web-cast reruns of the show.
