5th century
Long, narrow frieze, decorated in relief, projects from surface in the manner of a torus. At center of torus, a vine is interwoven to form a figure-eight pattern. Stemming up and down from this central vine, single, deeply-drilled leaves and clusters of fruit alternate.
Unknown, formerly of the Kevorkian Collection. Said to be from Bawit.
Light gray earthenware with mold-impressed decoration. Reportedly recovered at Lelang (also spelled Lo-lang; Korean, Naknang), near T'o-sông-ni, southwest of P'yôngyang, Korea.
