Irene, India and Friends at Graduations: Irene Dobbs Jackson at twelve or thirteen in Atlanta. One of the five beautiful Dobbs sisters, including Mattiwilda, the Metropolitan Opera singer. Dr. Jackson is a retired Professor of French and the mother of Atlanta's Mayor Maynard Jackson. The young women on the porch are friends gathering after graduating from high school before going off to college. In the middle is India Amos and top left, Irene Dobbs, all eighteen.
