The painting is a portrait of Ahmad Saba Sint, identified by the inscription on the back of the image. He sits cross-legged against a large red bolster and on a striped rug. His hands rest in his lap as he looks straight on. He has dark hair that ends at the base of his neck and curls at the ends. He is bearded. He wears an elaborate white and black headdress. Next to him is a brown walking stick.
