Ovoid jar with flared lip, cylindrical neck, broad, sloping shoulders, and sides tapering inward to a flat base; buff earthenware with geometric decoration painted in black slip and white pigment. Majiayao culture, Majiayao type. From the upper Yellow River valley region; Gansu, Qinghai, or Ningxia province.
