Dark Ages

Dark Ages is a British television sitcom, first broadcast as five thirty-minute episodes on ITV in December 1999. It portrayed medieval English villagers fearful of the turn of the new millennium in the year 999 AD, and parodied contemporary fears at the turn of the third millennium in 1999. It was written by Rob Grant and directed by Steve Bendelack.

Oliver Twist

Manhunt: The Search for the Yorkshire Ripper

Occurring from the mid-1970s to 1981, the Ripper committed 13 murders. Viewed as ritualistic in nature, they were done with extreme brutality as he mocked the police during their desperate hunt for him. The victims were primiarly prostitutes or poor girls, with a few working girls tossed in. Generally he would hit a victim on the head with a hammer, sexually assault the lady, mutilate her, and then redress/re-arrangement the clothing and cover the corpse with her own coat.

Sooty Heights

Third incarnation of the Sooty show formula which follows almost directly on from the previous show 'Sooty and Co'. The puppets with Richard Cadell and Liana Bridges decide to leave the 'Sooty and Co.' shop and open a grand seaside hotel.

The Foxbusters

Three chickens, Ransome, Sims and Jeffries, who live on the Foxearth Farm, a farm based in the English countryside and have the unlikely ability to fly. They each have a different personality; Ransome is the best flyer, Sims is the smartest and Jeffries is the comic relief. They also have the ability to spit grit like machine guns, and drop hard-boiled eggs like they were bombs - which are used to keep the hungry pack of foxes in Foxearth Forest at bay.

The Second World War in Colour

The Second World War In Colour [1999] is a three-part documentary which reveals hours of previously unseen colour film of World War II. As almost all newsreel film was shot in black and white, this DVD offers a completely new portrait of the war. Dramatic colour footage from as early as 1933 shows home movies of Adolf Hitler and his cohorts, the devastation wrought by the Blitzkrieg, life on the home front, D-Day and the Allied invasion of France, British bombers defying German fighters, the horror of the Holocaust that troops met as they entered Germany, and the jubilation of the final Allied victory. With John Thaw's narration intercut with spoken accounts from the letters and diaries of those who fought, those who survived, and those the war claimed as victims, this documentary is an extraordinary remembrance of a monumental time in world history.

Barbara

Barbara is a British sitcom starring Gwen Taylor in the title role. A pilot was broadcast in 1995, and three series were then televised from 1999 to 2003. It was made by Central Television, and filmed at their Lenton Lane studios in Nottingham in front of a live studio audience. The majority of location scenes for the series were filmed in various suburbs of Nottingham, including Mapperley and West Bridgford, with other scenes filmed around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Despite winning awards and respectable viewing figures, it was axed by ITV in 2003.

Always and Everyone

Always and Everyone was a British television drama that ran from 1999 to 2002. It dramatised the hectic everyday lives of the doctors and nurses running the Accident and Emergency department of the large, busy city hospital, St. Victor's.
