Love and Ambition

Set from postwar of the Korean's war to the present (1980s). The story revolves around two brothers, Tae-jun and Tae-su, from the country of Chuncheon, struggling in poverty and family often verbally argue. After the death of their father, Tae-jun (the eldest son) pursues further on his education and earns a merit to law school, whereas Tae-su (the youngest) hides out escaping the crime he assaulted back at home. However, Tae-jun is romantically in love with his first love, Mi-ja, who becomes a movie star, debating about her career and their pending marriage. Love and Ambition is an intriguing intense tale circling into romance and obsession.

Namhan Mountain Castle

The seventh of the 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty series deals with the reigns of Injo, Hyojong and Hyeonjong in the 17th Century. The period in which Injo ruled was marked by General Yi Gwal's rebellion, the two invasions by the Manchu, and subsequent breakdown of the economy. His successors, Hyojong and Hyeonjong, spent most of their time on the throne attempting to restore the kingdom.

The Hoechun Gate

The sixth episode of 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty covers the period of Prince Gwanghae's reign in the early 17th Century, in particular the contention for the throne when Queen Inmok gave birth to Prince Yeongchang, threatening Prince Gwanghae's succession.

The Imjin War

The fifth episode of the 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty series depicts the history of the Imjin War, also known as the Seven Year War, where the newly unified Japan was led by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and invaded Korea twice, from 1592 to 1598. The fighting in this extended period includes the famous naval battles under Admiral Lee Soon Shin.

The Wind Orchid

The fourth episode of 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty covers the first half of the 16th Century, from the reign of Jungjong to Myeongjong.

Love and Truth

Hyo Seon and Min Seon are two sisters who are struggling to find the money to go to university. Their mother reveals a startling birth secret to Min Seon on her deathbed, who then takes advantage of it to better her life at the expense of her sister. How will this deceit affect both their lives?

The third episode of 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty deals with the period of history spanning from the reign of King Munjong, the first son of Sejong, to the chaos of Yeonsangun's rule.

Tree With Deep Roots

The second installment in the 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty series covers the first half of the 15th Century, during the reign of King Sejong.

The King of Chudong Palace

This drama marks the beginning of the 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty series, covering the fall of Goryo and the founding of the Joseon Dynasty by Taejo, as well as the subsequent reigns of his sons Jeongjong and Taejong.

Hwang Jin Yi

Season 4 of the Women of Legend Series. Hwang Jin Yi, a courtesan in training, finds out the secret of her birth, and lives a life of riches and glory for revenge against the noble-blooded father who abandoned her. She becomes the best courtesan in Songdo and eventually, all of Joseon.

Season 3 of the Women of Legend series. A drama about the cruelties borne by a childless wife in the Joseon Dynasty at the hands of her in-laws.

Jang Hee Bin

The first season of the Women of Legend Series tells the story of a young lady-in-waiting whose beauty catches the eye of the King and becomes his concubine. Quickly rising in the ranks and eventually giving birth to a son, her hunger for power drives her not only to maintain her position, but to become Queen.

Popopo

Popopo is a South Korean children's television series broadcast on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation. With over 32 years of broadcasting this, it is considered to be the longest-running children's programme in South Korea.  It ended its run in 2013, after over 7,700 episodes.
