Portuguese Problems

Portuguese Problems is a highly anticipated six-episode sketch comedy series that is scheduled to air on March 18, 2024 on Radio Television Portugal International as well as the RTP Play App the following day). This uproarious sketch comedy show parodies well known genres and puts them through the lenses of first generation kids of immigrants, delving into the humorous and heartwarming experiences of growing up in an ethnic home.

Shaken by sadness, lack of motivation and apathy, Rita discovers an application on her cell phone that offers her the opportunity to live other people's lives. Feeling the need to make a radical change in her life, she decides to install the mysterious application called “Appy” and dive into the different experiences it offers. However, what Rita does not understand is that the errors in the application, still in the experimental phase, will trigger irreparable consequences in her life.

The Crime of Father Amaro

Based on Eça de Queiroz's 1875 novel, the plot takes place in Leiria, Portugal, at the end of the 1860s, and follows the story of the forbidden passion between Amaro, a young priest, and Amélia, "the most beautiful girl in Leiria". Tense, emotional and rooted in personality conflicts, the series takes a critical look at society and the church in Portugal, in Leiria in the 19th century.
