In the 1930s, Bo Ching-wan and his family have come to crime infested Tong Yan Street in Bangkok. His father Bo Tin-ha tragically dies after he has teamed up with Lin Chun-shan to rebel against Lo Heung-tung. Ching-wan’s younger brother and sister have also gone missing. His mother Ting Sai-fung has become emotionally unstable. Twenty-five years later, Ching-wan sets foot in Tong Yan Street again and encounters a swindler called Chin Chin-chin. Chun-shan’s son Lin Gik turns out to be a corrupt cop. His colluding partners Pang Kin and Kam Lung are bosses of the two most notorious gangs. Pang Kin’s only son returns to Bangkok with his fiancée Ching On-na. However, he is assassinated, causing the two gangs to clash with each other. Ching-wan establishes Overseas Chinese Society of Bangkok. Ching-wan and his partners encourage good deeds and punish the baddies. The Society is in disarray as it repeatedly faces up to difficulties. There is still a long way to go before the chums find peace.

Rewind to the 1980s and female singer Chu Sa-kiu raises her twin daughters in Lau Fau Shan by herself. Regrettably, the grown-up twin sisters then turn against each other because of their lovers. Sa-wah runs away from home, and Sa-sa dies during childbirth. Sa-kiu has since taken up the important role as her granddaughter Kwan-ho’s carer. She has also fostered a little dumb boy called Man Chor. Time flies and Kwan-ho’s father Chuk Chin fai’s appearance causes Sa-kiu, Sa-wah and Kwan-ho’s relationship across three generations to again get entangled in the realm of ambivalence. Because of fate, Man Chor , Kwan-ho and fresh-faced and competent Szeto Lai-shun become buddies, resulting in a happy sibling relationship gradually becoming incestuous. And they face a conundrum as they also get involved in an abusive triangular relationship. They resort to making sacrifices and selfless contributions to let their beloved find happiness.
Many people die as old-fashioned tenement Wai Lei Building abruptly collapses. Engineer Sze Kwong has conducted a survey of the building. He arbitrarily investigates the incident as he reckons the building collapse is shrouded in intrigue. While the incident is being unraveled, Sze Kwong’s girlfriend Cheung Man, who is some property developer’s lawyer, dies in a traffic accident. Then his younger half sister Auyeung Ka-shun meets her death. Sze Kwong is also silenced. Sze Kwong suspects the building collapse has something to do with property developer Hong Wing-yan and his mentor Ying Yiu-wa. He wants to prevent the disaster from happening. To avoid implicating Cheung Man and Ka-chun, Sze Kwong decides not to recognize his sister and he also does not go out with Cheung Man. He just covertly watches over the duo.
