Prince Planet

Prince Planet is the English-language title given to one of the earliest Japanese anime TV series, Planet Boy Papi, when it was transmitted on American television in the United States in the mid-1960s. A 52-episode monochrome anime series, it tells the story of a member of the Universal Peace Corps, originally from the planet Radion, coming to Earth on a mission to determine if this world meets standards for membership in the Galactic Union of Worlds and assist its inhabitants during his stay. While on his mission, Prince Planet adopts the identity of an Earth boy named Bobby and gains comrades who work together alongside him fighting forces of evil, both alien and terrestrial.

Gigantor

Gigantor is an American adaptation of the anime version of Tetsujin 28-go, a manga by Mitsuteru Yokoyama released in 1956. Jimmy Sparks controls a gigantic, powerful robot and uses it to fight crime. It debuted on U.S. television in 1964. As with Speed Racer, the characters' original names were altered and the original series' violence was toned down for American viewers.

Astro Boy

In the year 2000, Dr. Boyton creates a super-robot in his deceased son's image. He calls the robot Astro Boy. Astro Boy can swim oceans, leap over mountains, even fly into space on his own power. Otogi Manga Calendar

The show was about historical events through a character who was not aware of what happened on this day in history. Sometimes photographs and film footages were mixed in with the animations to explain what historical event had taken place. The research archives came from the Mainichi Shinbun newspaper where the director's Fuku-chan manga was printing at the time.

DARK MACHINE THE ANIMATION

Ai no Arashi

A milestone in daytime drama serials that aired in 1986 on Fuji TV: Spring, 1927. Den'emon Saegusa (Akira Nakao), a landowner in Shirabe Village, West Kofu District, brings home an orphan (Tetsuya Minagawa) who tried to steal his bag in Yokohama, where he was on business. Den'emon thinks the child looks like his second son, Takeru, who had died two years earlier, and tries to help him. However, his wife, Kinu (Enami Anzu), is not at ease, fearing that the child may be Den'emon's illegitimate son.
