Tokyo Love Cinema

Not so long ago, one film that Masaki purchased and distributed became a mega hit, but that was where his luck ran out. Now, his company is suffering from financial difficulties, and will probably go under in less than a year. For Masaki, nothing is more important than work. So when it comes to the question of marriage, his answer is, "it can wait."

Astro is a robotic boy created by Dr. Tenma to replace his late son. When Tenma destroys his laboratory and shuts down Astro, the Ministry of Science revives him and tries to give him a normal life as a 6th-grade student who occasionally helps keep renegade robots from causing harm.

Beauty or Beast

This drama pits two protagonists against each other. On the one hand there's Makoto, a woman who believes that the TV program is a product and that viewer ratings are the proceeds, and who believes any method is fair in getting those ratings. On the other hand there's Hiromi, a flashy sort of guy who claims that life is to enjoy and boasts that the program is simply a tool in that process. He loves wine, women and gambling. Such a pair is bound to mix like oil and water, but following a fateful reunion, they come to understand each other in the midst of confrontation.

26-year-old Tanimachi Mizuho (Matsu Takako) moves to Tokyo hoping to become a successful author, but finds that Tokyo isn't so welcoming. There she meets a popular variety show writer, Morinaga Kenta (Sakaguchi Kenji), who happens to have been a childhood friend. But whether or not they fall in love is uncertain.

Tensai Yanagisawa Kyouju no Seikatsu

This drama is based on a story that ran for 14 years in the Kodansha published weekly manga Morning. Yoshinori Yanagisawa is an economics professor at International Cultural University. He keeps to the right of the sidewalk when he walks, and doesn't cross the street any place other than a crosswalk. He loves low-cost, great tasting dried fish, and will walk to the end of the earth to get one. No matter what has happened to him during his day, he always goes to bed at 9 p.m. Today, Yoshinori's day began with an argument with his daughter Setsuko about whether to cross the street at a crosswalk or not.

Haibane Renmei

A dream of falling from the sky...and then birth. Rakka is born from a large cocoon into the Old Home, greeted by a group of female beings with small wings on their backs and shining halos above their heads. She soon realizes that the town and the entire world they live in are confined behind the Wall, a tall, impenetrable wall that none except the mysterious Toga are allowed to exit.
