Makimura Kimiko, freelance journalist and city-girl extraordinaire, marries into a traditional Japanese family. Most overbearing of the Yamamoto Family members is Isojiro's mother, Shimako, who seems to think Kimiko is the perfect wife whose knowledge of the traditional Japanese arts knows no bounds. Kimiko on the other hand is sloppy, a bad cook unless it happens to be microwavable, and couldn't tell a shamisen from a bagpipe if her life depended on it. Bombarded by customs, Kimiko's only desire is to never step foot in the Main House again. One day at the school orientation, her eyes are glued to a sudden performance of a group of unsuccessful actors, "Shimokita Sundays". Their unique play made her laugh... something she had forgotten for a long time. Yuika takes a chance to visit Shimokita and goes to see their play only to find how unpopular and how very few audiences they had. But still, their performance touches Yuika’s soul... great enough to make her try out for their audition.

35th Masked Rider Anniversary File

The 35th Masked Rider Anniversary File is Kamen Rider's equivalent to the Super Sentai Series' The 30 Sentai Encyclopedia, a series of featurettes that aired at the end of each episode of GoGo Sentai Boukenger, the Super Sentai show which aired alongside Kamen Rider Kabuto celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Super Sentai Series. This segment acted as a look back to the Kamen Rider franchise and an early advertisement for the God Speed Love movie. During these five segments, the characters discuss the history of the Kamen Rider franchise, sometimes in a comedic tone, but always with serious background music. Like the Sentai Encyclopedia, the Anniversary File is not included as part of Kabuto on home video or streaming.

The series turns the classic superhero formula on its head, making the ostensibly “evil” team of villains the protagonists of the story, and the traditional superhero of the series, Deluxe Fighter, a narcissistic and largely incapable bully.
