Trapped in a Comic Book

Our main fella awakes, but when he does he is no longer in his normal world. He is confined to a comic book. He must confront his past to make it out and right his wrongs, before the darker side of him takes over. A story told in two parts four years apart, in which throughout the years he gains perspective to help him defeat the darkness once and for all. Like Mega Strathdene, but if he was cool. Theres cool shit and explosions though.
