Ngai Chi-sang is an up-and-coming artist whose works fetch increasingly lucrative prices in the art market, but his world turns topsy-turvy when an accident takes away his greatest asset. This comes as devastating news to his patron, Sheung Chi-yau, a speculator willing to risk it all in search of high profits. Believing that his lifeline lies in a groundbreaking surgery, the artist enters into a deal with the patron and a surgeon, setting the stage for an intricate cascade of intrigue, deceit and desire and turning the fortune around for all three players.
