Patrick is a 45-year-old factory worker who still lives with his single mother. When he discovers that his estranged father is alive and living on Bonaire, he impulsively travels to the island to meet him. Shortly after his arrival, his father dies, leaving Patrick an unexpected inheritance: a struggling seaside resort.
