Description
Painted in ink and colors on paper, this horizontal wall scroll depicts a highly abstracted, old cypress tree that transforms itself into a highly abstracted dragon, as it title suggests. The cypress tree and its trunk, branches, and leaves are painted with detailed brushstrokes, while the mists surrounding the tree were created through the use of highly controlled washes of ink and pigment.
