The Pope, seated on a throne at the right, leans forward toward the possessed person, who is held on the steps of the papal throne by a half-nude figure; other figures stand in the left background in the shadow of an arcaded and columned baroque building; a group of prelates stands at the right, and in the foreground are Roman warriors and female figures.
