G. van Beuningen, Rotterdam, 1940, gift; to Lucas Hermann Peterich, his son-in-law. [Charles Albert de Burlet, Basel], sold; to Fogg Art Museum, 1953 Notes [1] Koenigs's collection was used as collateral for a long term loan through the bank Lisser & Rosenkranz. The bank voted to liquidate on April 2, 1940 and the repayment of the loan was required immediately. The drawings and paintings which were used as collateral were therefore transferred to the ownership of the bank.
