Globular Aryballos

Description

Body: with drawn sword, Telephos, whose name ["Telaphos"] is incised in the clay, grabs the forelock of a fleeing opponent; two flanking panthers. Presumably the Mysian hero, ancestor of Pergamene kings; his opponent is unidentifiable. Shoulder: tongue pattern. Neck: broad rim. Broken and mended. Design faded and chippped off in places.
