6th-7th century
Tapestry band with buff central strip and red borders. Main portion of the band has abstract floral decoration, with round red flowers alternating with serrated pairs of leaves. Borders contain a scrolling yellow vine with blue and green heart shaped leaves outlined in white. Plain woven, undyed linen ground visible on edges of tapestry woven band. This plain-woven ground is marked by several self-bands. The wefts of the tapestry portion are wool (dark blue, light blue, buff, yellow, peach, green, and red). Warps are paired in the tapestry portion.
