Joint Gift to Harvard Library, 1916. Corporation Records, June 21, 1916: Voted that the President and Fellows desire to express their gratitude to Mr. Frederick H. Hedge and to Miss Charlotte A. Hedge for their gift of a silver teapot belonging to their great grandfather, Dr. William Kneeland, a Tutor in the College from 1754 to 1763. Frederick was class of 1851. Charlotte and Frederick were descendants of Tutor William Kneeland, class of 1751.
