The sketch was made on Royal Academy letterhead; in red, it is printed "Royal Academy of Arts / London, W. / 190__" The drawing of the fountain is folded on the outside of the sheet. The heads are visible when the sheet is unfolded. Another caricatured head is visible on the underside of the sheet, but the sheet is completely adhered to the album leaf.
