Two ships and two argonauts (one simply the shell) on shoulder. Conical top-disc has concentric circles and dot. Body is painted with concentric circles as is under the base. Spout and false spout looped with thick band of paint. A thin band loops the handles. Dots and triangular derivative filling ornament at the neck. Top-disc chipped, large crack, very faded, encrusted.

Russet Ding ware: porcelaneous white stoneware with russet-surfaced dark brown glaze, the markings in overglaze iron-oxide. Probably from the kilns at Jianci villiage, possibly from those at East or West Yanchuan village, Quyang county, Hebei province.
