1900-700 BCE
Stamp seal with circular seal plate and a tapered handle that terminates in a horizontally drilled, hammer-shaped knob. On the seal surface there is a plant (the "Tree of Life" motif) flanked by a crouching lion and a rabbit. The scene is framed by a single line on the edge of the sealing surface.
Hans Silvius von Aulock, Istanbul; sold [through Christie's, New York, June 13, 2000, no.522] to Harvard University Art Museums.
