Canadian Advances in Heavyweight Elimination: New York: - Toronto's George Chuvalo sticks his left into the face of Doug Jones, of New York, as the latter counters with a right cross during their heavyweight bout at Madison Square Garden, Oct. 2. Chuvalo was boosted into the four-man elimination tournament for the vacated heavyweight crown when he scored a TKO in the 11th round.

Social Settlements: United States. New York. New York City. Association of Neighborhood Workers: Arts and Festival Committee: Association of Neighborhood Workers of New York Arts and Festival Committee: Children's dances in Bronx Park, 1910, under the direction of the Arts and Festival Committee of the Neighborhood Workers Association of New York. 20 Settlement Houses were represented by 800 children. All the dances were national folk dances. In many instances the dances were learned by the children from their immigrant mothers.
