Remain Cool In Heat of Battle: Platoon leader 2nd Lt. Hector Colon of Chicago, left, and Sgt. Johnnie English of San Antonio, Texas go over some maps in South Vietnam’s War Zone C. Colon’s platoon was the last of Bravo Company to be evacuated from the jungle after a day of patrolling and was caught in the close quarter firefight with Communist troops. The men of Colon’s platoon were credited with killing 60 of the enemy of the estimated 500 that surrounded them
